We had another productive work day on the 19th (sorry the post is a bit late!).
The polytunnel foundations were completed ready for the concrete, more trees were planted and we brought lots of carpet and useful equipment to the site. This include a large water tank (thanks Agronomy at Orkney College!) which we will use to collect rainwater from the shed roof. We now have enough hessian backed carpet for the time being – thanks to all those who donated it.
Plot holders were out again cutting turf and some beds have alreadt been planted with tatties and rhubarb.
Ian has put some planters at the entrance – it certainly brightens up the site!
