There is a work day this Sunday, July 26th, at the Community Garden – any time that you can make between 11am and 2pm. There’s a variety of tasks to join in with. Not all count as heavy lifting.
The weather forecast looks dry and conditions may even call for sunblock. (Your ginger blog author writes.)
New on the to-do list is painting the picnic table/bench, making a temporary water supply (by burying a barrel in a drainage channel) and doing some polytunnel TLC.
We can also carry on work at the pond area behind the polytunnel, building a wind break from the spoil. The more protection we can make from westerly winds the better.
Remember, polytunnel plots are still available! Read full details about renting a plot.
Please come along for whatever you can manage, it would be great to see you there!
