Last weekend we experienced the first really warm weather of the year and it was great to see the community garden coming back to life after a long and cold winter. A number of folk were about preparing their plots for growing and I know some planting is well underway. Let’s hope the warm weather is here to stay. There’s a few photos below thanks to Peter.
The first community garden work day of the year will take place on Sunday 29 April between 11 & 3. These are an opportunity for us to focus on various task around the site from the maintenance of the paths, walls, shed and ploy-tunnel to tree planting and composing, but are also social days to get stuck into tasks together. If you’re not already a member then you’re very welcome to join us, lend a hand, and find out what we’ve got planned for the year ahead. You never know, you might catch the bug!
